Douyin

Douyin PC shows a distinctive interactive experience of video consumption and broadcasting. Watching videos on the left side of the drawer panel and selecting related content on the right side can give users a sense of control. According to the operating characteristics of the keyboard and mouse, it provides more convenient and quick operation and more prominent feedback perception. The delight of user experience is crucial to designers, and they take visual aesthetics, ease of operation, and consumer immersion as product design principles to guide them to make a better design.

Sea of Ink

Sea of Ink is an animated short, which is about a story that an artist is struggling with the creative block about the art journey under the sea. This animation portrayed an artist’s creative dilemma and demonstrated a process of breaking through via self discovery. The short artistically discussed emotional exploration during an artwork creation phase. The animation combined a variety of techniques, such as 2D, 3D and live-action photo shooting. The director of the film leveraged the 3D hand-drawn watercolor ink as the artistic style of the film.

Smart Water Resources Dispatch

Compared to the traditional water resource management system, the solution integrates emerging technologies such as 5G, the Internet of Things, intelligent sensing, cloud, and big data to create a total-factor, all-dimension, and full-cycle water resource sensing and monitoring system. Through an AI simulation and analysis model, the system enables forecasting, early warning, pre-event drills, and contingency planning for water security events.

Eggshell Montage

For each of these pieces in this video montage, designer focused on the ambience of the scenes. He wished to create a sense of "flowing", like "running water" in the river, by looping the movement of the objects in a fluent way and built an atmosphere which the audience could immerse their emotions in. For most of the pieces, designer made the shot very wide. Most of the objects were very small and far. Designer wished the audience could have the feeling that they were standing right inside the scene when they were watching it.
