Delacon Dandelion

Dandelions are very delicate creations of nature managing to be wonderfully simple and highly complex at the same time. That's why a specially crafted, stylized and oversized model of a dandelion is the one and only design element at the heart of the Delacon exhibition stand. Invisible to the visitor is the very complex airflow sensor array, which is arranged inside the flowers head ready and waiting to amaze its visitors: By blowing on the flower the magical journey of its onscreen counterpart's seeds begins to unfold and allows you to be cast away with their elegant dance.

Fleur Pavilia

Fleur Pavilia, New World Development’s latest PAVILIA residence in Hong Kong under The Artisanal Movement, is themed around The Three Friends of Winter - pine, bamboo and plum blossom. The trio thrives in the harshness of winter for their remarkable characteristics - grit, perseverance, and resilience. The video shooting was conducted in Stockholm with a local production team and a renowned florist’s great effort. Setting off with the white hydrangeas, the aesthetics and weightlessness of the trio were captured to impress upon the viewers what Fleur Pavilia represents.

Fruits Do Not Get AIDS

The Androceu group was approached by Gapa, to develop a video of up to 30 seconds alerting the population, especially the youth, about Hiv. To bring awareness about the disease, the Fruits don't get aids design team choose to make a humorous and entertaining video to catch the public's attention, and to warn about the importance of using protection. The design team's inspiration was the widespread use by adolescents and young adults of certain fruit emojis to refer to body parts. So the group choose these fruits as the main theme of the video.

Red Series

Red Series is a set of three 3D-animation loops that show simplistic fantasy machines, each one made for just one purpose. The devices do not have practical uses, but work only for their own sake. However, these tasks are performed with the utmost precision. Through the short, repetitive processes, a hypnotic state emerges in the head of the observer that is oddly satisfying.

Relation Ship

Initially, the audience witnesses evocative gestural performance animation of the main character, fishbone queen, giving away precious gifts from her own body. Upon entering the virtual reality environment, the viewer is immersed in a living bodyscape. This project is originally designed to be displayed in an installation setting as a stop motion film and 3 virtual reality headsets which provide 3 different immersive experiences inside the main character. The design of puppets and sets are deeply inspired by marine biology with the usage of found pieces of jewelry and objects.

The Architecture of The City

The Architecture of the City poses a contrast between old and present-day Hong Kong. Inspired by Aldo Rossi’s book of the same title, director adopted the stage use of bamboo scaffolding, a commonly seen architectural element in Hong Kong, transforming the collective memory into an audio-visual experience. Through the interaction between the bamboo structure, images, music, stage and lighting, together with the use of recycled materials for the costumes design, the performance creates an experience of an alternative space and a reflection on the city as a live organism that keeps on changing.
