Fantastical Metamorphosis

Fantastical Metamorphosis is an event for the Taichung City Government to celebrate the grand opening of the Taichung Metropolitan Theater designed by Japan’s Toyo Ito. Featuring 2 days of breathtaking Facade Projection Mapping and 2 months of interactive Site-Specific Installations, this launch is an opportunity to draw attention both locally and internationally to Taichung and its unique Theater.

Magic Morror

The aim was to design an app that help user know more things about themselves that they were not aware of before, helping them get more familiar with themselves. In order to achieve this goal, the application visualises their emotions and gives an overview of things they have been writing about in diary entries and how they feel about them.

Annual awards event

Our purpose was to build a stage which creates audience admiration and forwards the message of the event. Following the design, we cut interconnecting triangles as the main geometric pattern. Each aspect of this stage required a construction with lightweight, internally lit parts with a look that can be fast and easily changed out during the event to give the right look to the different presentations.

LineFORM

We propose a novel concept of shape changing interface using the form “Line.” This project explores the interaction design space and applications for the actuated curve interfaces through preliminary prototype based on snake robotics technology. Through our design exploration, we envision a future where transforming string being woven into our everyday life.

History channel ID

The basic concept of the IDs is exiting and breathtaking travelling through space-time portals. Camera flies through the energy field, historical era changes or viewer gets in a dimension filled with objects according to the theme of the ID. External surface of the circle is the portal, which is covered by symbols from different historical eras. And the Cyrillic letter inside rotates like a pointer on clocks. Textures, historical objects and locations - everything looks extremely realistic, like live shooting.

World History

St. Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow, Eiffel tower in Paris, Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy and Akshardham – Hindu temple complex in New Delhi were chosen for the ID of educational TV spot of the Russian “History” channel. People that are fond of history can discover a lot of exiting facts in the runtime of one minute, while the TV spot runs. For additional historical associations, a zeppelin and an ancient ship were added in the ID.
